WHOOHOO! Update time! I would have updated....yesterday, but I was watching A Very Potter Musical on youtube. I recommend it to all Potterheads <3 It is absolutely amazing.

So....I won't go too far into this because, quite frankly, the whole thing was infuriating. Hobo's Mom drove us down on Thursday night and we stayed the weekend at Mustard-chan's house. That was fine and dandy, we unpacked, slept, and rode the MAX train into Portland the next day to pick up our badges. First impression of the Hilton Hotel? FREAKING PRETTY. Way too pretty and posh for us. That should have been our foreshadowing...there were problems with badges, con staff freaking out, that sort of thing. Went home and Meg, Senpai, and Kelly arrived. So began the first day of the con...we got dressed (Hobo and I were the Chesire Cat and Alice respectively, with lolita inspiration). The cosplays were awesome and the people at the con were too but....well...the con and hotel staff were rude (hotel more than con), the place was too small, we couldn't sit down anywhere, the escalators, stairs, and elevators kept getting closed or shut off...the entire weekend was like that. It was so frustrating, annoying, angerfying (is that a word?)...you know what I mean. There were highlights though:

-The skit about Link teaching dark Link how to be evil when dark Link was in love with him
-The people who sang with us and danced with us (GO A VERY POTTER MUSICAL!)
-The chocolate bread in the vendor's hall
-The pizza place, Pizza Schmizza, was so amazing we want to petition for a place around here

Then we have the first day of school the day after the con! That went well, I have TA Japanese 1st, Physics 2nd, AP Lit 3rd, Japanese 3 4th, Anatomy and Physiology 5th, and now AP Government 6th. I love my classes <3 SLHS was relocated to Liberty Junior High School for this year as SLHS is being remodeled so....we have to deal with a school that is much too small for us and looks twice as good as any school we've ever been too. In Taniguchi-sensei's words, "DO NOT BREAK OR DRAW ON ANYTHING!" 'cause if we ruin it, we have to buy a replacement at full cost. Ouch. But the school is so pretty! There are huge concrete steps to sit on inside, the walls are in white and yellow and there are some walls that have coloured squares in blue, yellow, orange, green, red...they look amazing. There are also bright green track lights in some of the ceilings. Unfortunately, beauty isn't everything. There are only three staircases in the place and two of them are on the outside. We also don't have chronologically logical wings, we have wings 1, 2, and then 7 and 8 on the second floor. I still don't know, on the second day, if the 2nd and 8th wing are on the same side of the building. I can't really tell.

So that's basically what's been going on...I'll edit this later. I'm too tired right now. Aki Matsuri, Hobo's 18th birthday, and Ponyo this weekend! <3
